DropsyUse of mild laxatives and diuretic medicines that help body get rid of the fluids.

Camel milk is a mild laxative, diuretic, cleanses and opens that which is closed and removes the obstructions and soothes the body.
Wounds and cuts The ashes of burnt palm leaves are very effective in stopping bleeding. Sahihain

Narrated Anas:
(Wearing of silk) was allowed to them (i.e. `AbdurRahman and Az-Zubair) because of the itching they suffered from.

Pleurisy (infected growth that appears in the pleura that coats the ribs) symptoms: fever, cough, stinging pain, hard breathing and pneumonia.Narrated Um Qais:

I went to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) along with a a son of mine whose palate and tonsils I had pressed with my finger as a treatment for a (throat and tonsil) disease. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why do you pain your children by pressing their throats! Use Ud Al-Hindi (certain Indian incense) for it cures seven diseases, one of which is pleurisy. It is used as a snuff for treating throat and tonsil disease and it is inserted into one side of the mouth of one suffering from pleurisy."

Sea costus (Indian Costus) ground to fine powder, blended with hot oil and used as an ointment on the affected area, or ailing person to lick it.

Headaches and migraines Vomiting, eating, being calm and idle, using cold rags, cooling the body, elevating the temperature, avoiding noise etc.
Treating headaches with Henna can be beneficial in some cases; Crushed Henna blended with vinegar and applied to the forehead.
Tying a cloth around the head.
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
"Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in his fatal illness came out with a piece of cloth tied round his head and sat on the pulpit. After thanking and praising Allah he said, "There is no one who had done more favor to me with life and property than Abu Bakr bin Abi Quhafa. If I were to take a Khalil, I would certainly have taken Abu- Bakr but the Islamic brotherhood is superior. Close all the small doors in this mosque except that of Abu Bakr."

TonsillitisCupping and marine costus are
among your best remedies;
and do not torture your children
pressing their uvula to cure tonsillitis. Scrub Indian Costus (aloes) with water and then administer it to the child through the nose.

Narrated Um Qais:
that she took to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) one of her sons whose palate and tonsils she had pressed because he had throat trouble. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why do you pain your children by getting the palate pressed like that? Use the Ud Al-Hindi (certain Indian incense) for it cures seven diseases one of which is pleurisy."

Diseases of the Heart Seven dates from Al Madinah ground with their seeds and eaten.
Narrated Sa`d:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "Whoever takes seven 'Ajwa dates in the morning will not be effected by magic or poison on that day."

O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing forwhat is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers. ‘

Narrated `Abdullah bin Ja`far:
I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) eating fresh dates with snake cucumbers.

Narrated 'Urwa:
Aisha used to recommend at-Talbina for the sick and for such a person as grieved over a dead person. She used to say, "I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'at-Talbina gives rest to the heart of the patient and makes it active and relieves some of his sorrow and grief.'"

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“If a fly falls into your drink, dip it into it then throw it away, for on one of its wings is a disease and on the other is a cure.”

Sickness and Illness in generalUmm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her):
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When you visit a sick or a dying person, you should utter good words because the angels say `Amin' at what you say.

Say good words to the sick when you visit them. It brings relief to the patient’s heart.
Giving food and medicine the body of the patient is used to.

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:

The Prophet (ﷺ) visited a bedouin who was sick. Whenever he visited an ailing person, he would say, "La ba'sa, tahurun in sha' Allah [No harm, (it will be a) purification (from sins), if Allah wills]."


Giving simplest type of foods to the patient.

Making milk soup and pouring it on Tharid and giving it to the sick or grief stricken person.

'A'isha the wife of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said:
When there was any bereavement in her family the women gathered there for condolence and they departed except the members of the family and some selected persons. She asked to prepare talbina in a small couldron and it was cooked and then tharid was prepared and it was poured over talbina, then she said: Eat it, for I heard Allah's Messenger (may peade be upon him) as saying: Talbina gives comfort to the aggrieved heart and it lessens grief.

Narrated Abu Hurayrah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best medical treatment you apply is cupping.

Using Ruqyah

Narrated Al-Aswad:

I asked `Aisha about treating poisonous stings (a snake-bite or a scorpion sting) with a Ruqya. She said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) allowed the treatment of poisonous sting with Ruqya."

Sorcery It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:

“A Jew from among the Jews of Bani Zuraiq, whose name was Labid bin A’sam, cast a spell on the Prophet (ﷺ), and the Prophet (ﷺ) began to imagine that he had done something when he had not. One day, or one night, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicated, and then supplicated again. Then he said: ‘O ‘Aishah, do you know that Allah has instructed me concerning the matter I asked Him about? Two men came to me, and one of them sat at my head and the other at my feet. The one at my head said to the one at my feet, or the one at my feet said to the one at my head "what is ailing this man ?" He said: “He has been affected by a spell.” He said: “Who cast the spell on him?” He said: “Labid bin A’sam.” He said: “With what?” He said: “With a comb and the hairs stuck to it, and the spathe of a male date palm.” He said: “Where is that?” He said: “In the well of Dhu Arwan.” She said: “So the Prophet (ﷺ) went to it, with a group of his Companions, then he came and said: ‘By Allah. O ‘Aishah. It was as if its water was infused with henna and its date palms were like the heads of devils.’” She said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, why don’t you burn them?’ He said: ‘As for me, Allah has healed me, and I do not like to let evil spread among the people.’ Then he issued orders that the well be filled up with earth.”

Finding the spell and neutralizing it.

Extracting harmful substances from the organ most touched by magic works.

Divine cures; certain prayers and recitations of the Quran.
Vomiting as a remedyVomiting disgorges septic substances from the body.

Naturally instigated vomit should not be prevented, except it becomes excessive and becomes unsafe.

Contagious diseases Do not keep looking at the person afflicted by leprosy.

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“Do not keep looking at those who have leprosy.” (Sunan Ibn Majah) Hasan

A healthy man should not be brought near a sick person.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: The cattle (sheep, cows, camels, etc.) suffering from a disease should not be mixed up with healthy cattle, (or said: "Do not put a patient with a healthy person ). " (as a precaution).

Narrated Saud:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If you hear of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; but if the plague breaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place."

Using Forbidden things for Medicinal purpose Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
There is a remedy for every malady, and when the remedy is applied to the disease it is cured with the permission of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious.

Use of Alcohol as medicineWa'il Al-Hadrami narrated that Tariq bin Suwaid asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about Khamr which he made only to be used as a medicine. The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "It is not a medicine, it is a disease." Related by Muslim and Abu Dawud. Bulugh al Maram Kitab al Hudud
Using perfume for preserving healthGood scents and perfumes are nutrition for the soul and the soul is the dynamo of the rest of the body’s powers.
The Prophet pbuh used to always accept perfume when presented to him. He used to apply perfume.
Angels like perfume and the devils dislike it because to the devils the foul odours are the dearest.

Lice in the head The Prophet pbuh ordered the person suffering from the problem of lice in his head to have his head shaved.

Narrated Ka`b bin Ujrah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) came to me during the period of Al-Hudaibiya, while I was lighting fire underneath a cooking pot and lice were falling down my head. He said, "Do your lice hurt your?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Shave your head and fast for three days or feed six poor persons or slaughter a sheep as a sacrifice:"

Evil Eye The evil eye is true, and if there is anything that would precede Predestination, it would be the evil eye.

Ibn 'Abbas reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
The influence of an evil eye is a fact; if anything would precede the destiny it would be the influence of an evil eye, and when you are asked to take bath (as a cure) from the influence of an evil eye, you should take bath.

The Prophet Pbuh has allowed using Islamic prayer formulas (*Ruqyah, divine remedy) , against fever, the evil eye and sores.

Narrated `Aisha:
The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered me or somebody else to do Ruqya (if there was danger) from an evil eye.

The person who touched others with the evil eye was commanded to perform ablution and the person whom he touched by the evil eye would wash with that water.

Saying Tabarak Allah (May Allah bless you!)

Reciting Surah Al Fatiha, the Muawwaithatan (Chapters 113 and 114) and Ayat Al Kursi as Islamic prayer formulas for treating sorcery or evil eye.

Anas narrated that :
the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) permitted Ruqyah for the scorpion sting, the(evil) eye, and An-Namlah.

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) allowed Ruqyah for snakebites and scorpion stings.”

Namlah (Sore) Using Ruqyah

It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet (ﷺ) allowed Ruqyah for the scorpion’s sting, the evil eye, and Namlah (sores or small pustules ulcers or sores on a person’s sides). Sahih Sunan Ibn Majah
Ulcer and other wounds Putting the finger in the soil after inserting in the mouth and then raising it saying,
“In the name of Allah; with the soil of the earth moistened with the saliva of some of us, let our sick be cured, with our Lord’s permission.”
Narrated `Aisha:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say to the patient, "In the Name of Allah The earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient."

Narrated `Aisha:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to read in his Ruqya, "In the Name of Allah" The earth of our land and the saliva of some of us cure our patient with the permission of our Lord." with a slight shower of saliva) while treating with a Ruqya.

This is an easy, beneficial cure for the various ulcers and fresh wounds especially when there is no available medicine.
Pain in general Place your hand on the affected area in your body and say, “In the Name of Allah,” thrice. Then say, “I seek refuge with Allah’s Might and Power from the evil of what I am suffering from and because of which I have become wary,” seven times.

It was narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As Thaqafi said:
“I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and I was suffering pain that was killing me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: ‘Put your right hand on it and say: Bismillah, a’udhu bi’izzatil-lahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru. (In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear),” seven times.’ I said that, and Allah healed me.”

Shock from disasters and calamities No person suffers a calamity and then says, “Truly! To Allah we belong and truly to Him we shall return. O Allah, reward me for the calamity that has befallen me and replace it with what is better.” Except that Allah will reward him for his calamity and will replace it with what is better than whatever he lost.”

Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "When a person suffers from a calamity and utters: 'Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. Allahumma ujurni fi musibati, wakhluf li khairan minha (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. O Allah! Compensate me in my affliction, recompense my loss and give me something better in exchange for it), then Allah surely compensates him with reward and better substitute." Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) said: When Abu Salamah (May Allah be pleased with him) died, I repeated the same supplication as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had commanded me (to do). So Allah bestowed upon me a better substitute than him (I was married to Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)).

Riyadh us Saliheen
Sadness Grief Depression “There is not deity worthy of worship except Allah, the Most Great, the Most Forbearing. There is not deity worthy of worship except Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the earth and the Lord of the Honourable Throne.”

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) used to supplicate during the time of trouble (in these words):
" There is no god but Allah, the Great, the Tolerant, there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Heaven and the earth, the Lord of the Edifying Throne."

Sahih Muslim 2730 a

This supplication is to be recited when in distress and grief.

“Allah is my Lord with Whom I associate nothing and no one.”

It was narrated that Asma’ bint ‘Umais said:
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught me some words to say at times of distress: Allah! Allahu Rabbi la ushriku bihi shay’an (Allah, Allah is my Lord, I do not associate anything with Him).”
Sunan Ibn Majah 3882 Hasan

“The supplication of Thun Nun (Jonah) La ilaaha anta subhanaka inni kuntu minadh dhalimeen.”

Seeking help from patience and prayer.
Al Quran (2:45)
Burns When the Muslim praises Allah’s Greatness, this supplication will cause the fire and the efforts of the devil to fade away and thus the fire will be extinguished, Allah willing.
Fear and Insomnia“I seek refuge with Allah’s perfect Words from His anger and torment, and from the evil of His slaves and the whisperings of the devils. I seek refuge with You, my Lord from their presence.”

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say: "Your forefather (i.e. Abraham) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Ishmael and Isaac by reciting the following: 'O Allah! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words from every devil and from poisonous pests and from every evil, harmful, envious eye.' "

Sahih al-Bukhari 3371

Ibn Umar RA used to teach these words to his children and would even write them for those who were not able to memorize them. There is no doubt that such words are suitable and effective in removing and repelling all types of harm.
Staying Healthy “And eat and drink but waste not by extravagance…”
Al Quran 7:31

Abu Hurairah narrated that :
the Messenger of Allah said: “Indeed the first of what will be asked about on the Day of Judgment – meaning the slave (of Allah) being questioned about the favors – is that it will be said to him: ‘Did We not make your body, health, and give you of cool water to drink?’”

Sahih Jami At Tirmidhi

Eating and drinking sensibly,
Utilizing one’s clothes,
Place of residence, the air, sleep, being awake, mobility, idleness, sex, extracting the excess material of the body and keeping whatever is necessary and important in the best form and shape.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There are two blessings which many people lose: (They are) Health and free time for doing good."

Sahih al-Bukhari 6412
Health and free time are the best bounties that many people disregard.

Ask Allah for good health.

[Ibn Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah said (ﷺ):
“Allah has not been asked for anything more beloved to Him than being asked for Al-`Āfiyah.]

Jami At Tirmidhi
Proper way to sit while eating“I do not eat while leaning on my side, I only sit like the slave sits and eat like the slave eats.”

Narrated Abu Juhaifa:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "I do not take my meals while leaning (against something).

Using three fingers while eating Best method of eating. Using three fingers as the Prophet pbuh and those who imitate him do while eating.

Ka’b b. Malik said:
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to eat with three fingers and not wipe his before licking it.

Sahih (Al-Albani)
Preserving the health of the Eyes Whenever the Prophet pbuh used to wear kohl he would use it thrice in the right eye-beginning with it and finishing with it-and twice in the left eye.
Ibn 'Abbaas Radiyallahu 'Anhu reports:

"Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam applied kuhl of ithmid three times in each eye before sleeping'. In a narration also from Ibn 'Abbaas Radiyallahu 'Anhu, it is reported: "Rasuluilah Sallallahu'Alayhi Wasallam had a small container for keeping kuhl, from which he applied in each eye kuhl three times before sleeping'.
Shamail e Muhammadiya Book 7, Hadith 49

“Those who use Kohl should use it an odd number of times.”

It has been reported through other routed that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Use Ithmid for it clears the vision and grows the hair (eye-lashes)."
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1757

“Use ithmid (antimony) because it clears the eye and grows the eyelashes.” (Al Hakim)
Sleep Abu Barzah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) disliked going to bed before the 'Isha' (night) prayer and indulging in conversation after it."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

He used to sleep in the early part of the night and would wake up in the beginning of the latter part, use siwak, perform ablution and pray as much as Allah permitted him.

Narrated Al-Bara bin `Azib:
That the Prophet (ﷺ) advised a man, saying, "If you intend to lie down (i.e. go to bed), say, 'Allahumma aslamtu nafsi ilaika wa fauwadtu `Amri ilaika, wa wajjahtu wajhi ilaika wa alja'tu zahri ilaika, reghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika. La malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilaika. Amantu bikitabikal-ladhi anzalta; wa nabiyyikalladhi arsalta.' And if you should die then (after reciting this before going to bed) you will die on the religion of Islam"

He did not oversleep.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When anyone of you go to bed, he should shake out his bed with the inside of his waist sheet, for he does not know what has come on to it after him, and then he should say: 'Bismika Rabbi Wada`tu Janbi wa bika arfa'uhu, In amsakta nafsi farhamha wa in arsaltaha fahfazha bima tahfazu bihi ibadakas-salihin."

Sleeping on the right side is the best type of sleep.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying:
when any of you goes to his bed, he should dust his bedding with the inner extremity of his lower garment, for he does not know what has come on it since he left it. He should then lie down on his right side and say: In Thy name, my mercy on it, but if Thou lettest it go, guard it with that which Thou guardest Thy upright servants.

*Sleeping on the stomach is the worst type of sleep.
It was narrated from Qais bin Tihfah Al-Ghifari that his father said:
"The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) found me sleeping in the masjid on my stomach. He nudged me with his foot and said: 'Why are you sleeping like this? This is a kind of sleep that Allah dislikes,' or 'that Allah hates.'"

The worst type of sleep occurs in the early hours of the day and in the afternoon.

Sleeping under the sun when half body is in shade is harmful. (Abu Dawood)

It is highly beneficial to sleep with ablution and saying the supplications. (Sahihain)

Waking The Prophet used to wake up when the rooster crowed and would then praise Allah, affirm His Greatness and Oneness, supplicate to Him and would use siwak.

It was narrated from Salim from his father that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "When anyone of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it."

Sahih Sunan Ibn Majah

He would then perform ablution and stand before his Lord reciting His Speech (the Quran), praising Him and hoping in Him with eagerness and fear.

Hudhaifah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) lay down for sleep at night, he would place his (right) hand under his (right) cheek and supplicate: "Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya [O Allah, with Your Name will I die and live (wake up)]." And when he woke up, he would supplicate: "Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana, wa ilaihin-nushur (All praise is due to Allah, Who has brought us back to life after He has caused us to die, and to Him is the return)."

Sexual Activity Sexual intercourse is meant to achieve three essential goals:

Reproduction and the preservation of mankind until the number of souls that Allah has ordered to come to this world is fulfilled and completed.

Second, expelling the water (semen) which causes harm if it remains inside the body.

Third, satisfying sexual desire and enjoying sex and the bounty that it represents.

Sexual activity helps lower the gaze, repulse lust, allows one the ability to refrain from illegal sexual activity and also achieves these goals for the wife.

Taking a bath or ablution after sex refreshes the energy and the strength and cleans whatever has remained during sex.

Ibn 'Umar reported:
Umar said: Is one amongst us permitted to sleep in a state of impurity (i. e. after having sexual intercourse)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes, after performing ablution.
Sahih Muslim 306 a

Sex is best after your food has been digested.

*It is prohibited to have sex with one’s wife in her anal canal and during her monthly periods.

Narrated Anas (RAA):

The Jews used not to eat with a woman during her menstruation period, so the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "Do every thing else apart from sexual intercourse (with your wives)". [Reported by Muslim.]

“Your wives are a place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers.”

Surah Al Baqarah 223
Physical ActivityIt was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, although both are good.

Moving about is one of the best methods to deny the toxic substances the chance to accumulate in the body.

Body becomes energetic and light during the physical activity and would optimize the intake of food, firm up the joints, and strengthen the muscles and the ligaments.

Every organ has its own suitable sport or physical activity for example the chest needs recitation.

Horse riding, archery, wrestling and running are sports for the whole body.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Husain:
That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, Allah will surely admit three into Paradise by a single arrow. Its maker who seeks good by his making it, the one who shoots it, and the one who holds arrows for him." And he said: "Practice archery and practice riding, and the you should practice archery is more beloved to me than that you should ride. All idle pastimes that the Muslim man engages in are falsehood, except for his shooting of his bow, his training of his horse, and his playing with his wife, for they are from truth."
Sahih Jami at Tirmidhi

Heart needs something that entails learning, behaving, and feeling happiness, joy, patience, firmness, courage, forbearing, performing righteous good deeds etc.

Recitation of the Quran for the health, healing and strength of the heart:

“O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.”
Al Quran 10:57
Beverages He used to drink honey with cold water.

Anas reported:
I served drink to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in this cup of mine: honey, Nabidh, water and milk.
Sahih Muslim 2008

Drinking honey on an empty stomach will dissolve phlegm, purify the stomach’s protective layers and dissipate its viscidity and excrements while heating it mildly.

It also helps against the clogs in the stomach, kidney, liver and prostate.

The best drink to the Prophet pbuh was cold and sweet.

The Prophet pbuh has guided his nation to drink while sitting down.

'Amr bin Shu'aib on the authority of his father and grandfather reported:
that they saw Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) drink standing, and sitting.


The last three Ahadith point out the permissibility of eating and drinking while walking or standing or sitting, but drinking in the sitting position remains the best.
Riyadh us Saliheen

*He used to sip water in three separate breaths and would say that it quenches the thirst better and is more palatable and sanitary.

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to breathe three times in the course of a drink (i. e. he drank in three gulps).
He commanded that one should not breathe in the cup while drinking.
Sahih Muslim 2028 a

*Mentioning Allah’s name before drinking and thanking Him upon finishing has a significant effect in benefitting from the drink while fending off its harm.

Covering the pots and closing the water skins (Muslim).

Drinking from the mouth of the water skin is not allowed. (Al Bukhari)

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the drinking of water directly from the mouth of a water skin .
Sahih Bukhari 5628

Drinking from a chipped cup is not allowed. (Sunan Abu Dawud)
Abu sa’id al-Khudri said:
The apostle of Allah (ﷺ) forbade drinking from the broken place (of a cup) and blowing into a drink.

Hijamah (Cupping) Narrated Abu Hurayrah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best medical treatment you apply is cupping.

“Healing is in three things: a drink of honey, the lancet of the cupper and cauterization with fire, but I forbid cauterization to my Ummah.”

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
(The Prophet (ﷺ) said), "Healing is in three things: A gulp of honey, cupping, and branding with fire (cauterizing)." But I forbid my followers to use (cauterization) branding with fire."
Sahih Al Bukhari 5680

The ideal time for cupping according to Sunnah is the 17th, 19th, and 21st or the third quarter of every Arabic Month.

Narrated Abu Hurayrah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If anyone has himself cupped on the 17th, 19th and 21st it will be a remedy for every disease.

Cupping on an empty stomach is better than on a full stomach.

It is better done in the morning and or evening than at night.

It is Mustahabb (recommended) to be done on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
It is better in summer.

Cupping is beneficial in cases of Rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, hemiplegia, kidneys, weak immune system, haemorrhoids, enlargement of the prostrate, thyroid problems, low libido, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, nervous colon syndrome, bedwetting in children above the age of five, narrowing of the arteries, atherosclerosis, diabetes, headaches, and migraines, eye diseases, liver, kidney, poor hearing, varicose veins in the legs, and testicles, obesity, emaciation, sterility, convulsions, shrinkage of brain cells, uterine bleeding, cessation of menses and many others. And Allah knows best.
Siwak Narrated Hudhaifa:
Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) got up at night, he used to clean his mouth with Siwak.
Sahih Bukhari 245

“If it were not for the fact that my nation would not be able to bear it, I would have ordered them to use Siwak before every prayer.”

Abu Hurairah narrated that :
Allah's Messenger said: "If it were not that it would be difficult on my nation, then I would have ordered them to use the Siwak for each prayer."

Sahih Jami at Tirmidhi

“Siwak cleanses the mouth and pleases the Lord.”

'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The Miswak (tooth-stick) cleanses and purifies the mouth and pleases the Rubb."

[An-Nasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah]. Riyadh Us Saliheen.

The best way to use the siwak is by soaking it in rose water. The best type of siwak is made from walnut stems.
Combinations of food The Prophet pbuh
fish and milk
Milk and sour foods
Two hot dishes
Two cold dishes
Two sticky dishes
Two constipating dishes
Two laxative dishes
Two heavy dishes
Two liquid foods or two types of foods that produced the same condition
Also, he did not join between two types of food that caused opposite effects, such as constipating and diarrhoea, or easily digested with heavy foods broiled with cooked foods, dry with fresh foods, eggs and milk or meat and milk.

Narrated Abu Qatada:
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the mixing of ripe and unripe dates and also the mixing of dates and raisins (for preparing a syrup) but the syrup of each kind of fruit should be prepared separately. ( One may have such drinks as long as it is fresh )

Also he neither ate a food when it is rather hot, nor old food that was heated for him the next day. Further, he did not eat any salty or rotten foods, such as pickles.
All these types of foods are harmful and cause the health to change for the worst.

He used to neutralize the harm of some foods by their opposites, as much as he could such as eating ripe dates with cucumbers, and dried dates with butter. He also used to drink the water of soaked dates to neutralize the effect of heavy foods.

Further, the Prophet pbuh used to eat dinner even if it only consisted of a few dates.

Abu Nuaym mentioned that the Prophet pbuh used to discourage sleeping just after eating because it will harden the heart.

It is advised to walk a few steps before sleeping after dinner or pray after eating your dinner.

He did not drink water or milk with his food because it would spoil the food especially if the water is hot or cold.
